Family Therapy

Family therapy is a specialised form of psychological treatment that focuses on improving the dynamics and functioning of a family unit. It views issues within a family as interconnected, seeking to address them by involving all relevant family members. The aim is to enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and foster healthy relationships among family members.

Key elements of family therapy include a systems perspective, holistic approach considering cultural and environmental factors, communication skills enhancement, conflict resolution techniques, and the redefinition of roles and boundaries within the family system.

Family therapy is effective in addressing a wide range of issues, including marital conflict, parent-child disputes, substance abuse, mental health concerns, and major life transitions. It aims to create a supportive and healthy family environment where individuals feel understood, valued, and capable of navigating challenges together.
