Dr Heidi Bergmeier is a registered psychologist with a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology and a PhD in Psychology.
Heidi is a warm and welcoming psychologist dedicated to offering a safe and supportive space for children, adolescents, adults, and parents seeking support to feel understood and accepted. Heidi’s personable approach prioritises understanding who you are, what truly matters to you, and tailoring her approach to suit your engagement style and preferred pace. This includes incorporating non-judgemental, neuro-affirming, creative, playful, and age-appropriate practices.
Heidi is particularly passionate about helping individuals develop insight, skills, confidence, and the capacity to navigate difficulties related to life transitions, anxiety, social interactions, emotional and behavioural regulation, school attendance, and learning. Her special interests include perinatal mental health, parenting relationships, ADHD, Autism, learning difficulties and performance mindset development.
Heidi draws on a range of integrated evidence-based approaches, including CBT, ACT, DBT, MI, and SFT.
Outside of clinical practice, Heidi brings extensive experience that she draws upon to lead advancements in parenting, child development, and education research. Her work has been published in scientific journals, presented at international conferences, and recognised through prestigious awards.
Heidi enjoys playing tennis, performing, and teaching the family Cavoodle, “Mr Bagel”, new tricks.
